Black&white e-reader? Coloured one?
I use an e-reader for reading books. I think that is their intention. Furthermore, I don't need a coloured device, as I don't read comics or manga. Coloured e-readers also tend to have darker screens when used without a front light. The screen could feel washed out as the screen resolution on coloured e-ink is currently at 150 PPI, while the black-and-white is 300 PPI.
That being said, that doesn't mean I am not interested in the colour e-ink technology, I just don't see the benefit for myself.
But If you are in the market for a colour e-ink e-reader, make sure to check Kobo, PocketBook or Boox. At the time of writing, you won't find any colour Kindles.
I have experience with black-and-white e-readers, especially PocketBooks and I highly recommend them. You can read something about them in this little review: Device review - PocketBook InkPad 4 and PocketBook Era (and its screen controversy)
