The Pine64 PineNote E Ink tablet, announced last month, is now available for pre-order at $399, which includes a cover and EMR stylus pen. Shipping is set to start mid-November. The tablet features a 10.1-inch E Ink display with a 1404 × 1872 resolution (227 PPI), scratch-resistant and anti-glare coating, and 16 greyscale levels. It also includes a 36-level front-lit display with adjustable warm and cold light settings for readability in all lighting conditions.
Powered by a quad-core RK3566 processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage, the PineNote runs on a Debian-based, open-source Linux OS, making it customizable for users who wish to modify the software. Although stable, the software may experience occasional bugs. The PineNote comes preloaded with Xournal++ for note-taking and Foliate for e-book reading. Additional features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, integrated speakers, four microphones, and a USB-C port, making it ideal for note-taking, reading, and creative use.
