CLEVELAND – March 12, 2025 – OverDrive marks a decade of digital reading in Germany by launching Lesefreude mit Libby, a premium collection of in-copyright eBooks and audiobooks available to all German public libraries through March 2026. This initiative reinforces OverDrive’s commitment to supporting German publishers, authors, and libraries while expanding access to digital content.
Since partnering with Bücherhallen Hamburg in 2015, OverDrive has introduced innovative features like the Notify Mepurchase suggestion tool, Apple CarPlay integration, and the Leselounge mit Libby book club. Key milestones include Berlin Public Library surpassing 2.5 million annual checkouts and Schleswig-Holstein adopting audiobooks statewide.
OverDrive will continue its investment in Germany by enhancing digital collection tools and engaging with the literary community at Leipzig and London Book Fairs.
