Onyx Boox is preparing to launch the Go 7 Color Gen 2 e-reader, an upgrade to the first-generation model released in 2024. The new device will feature incremental improvements, including a likely switch to Android 13, a faster processor, more internal storage, and a larger battery.
The e-reader is expected to retain its 7-inch E INK Kaleido 3 color screen, with possible upgrades to Carta 1300 for better performance. Resolutions will likely remain at 1680×1264 (300 PPI) for black-and-white and 1240×930 (150 PPI)for color. Other features include:
• Sleek black body with flush screen design
• Front-lit display with adjustable white and amber LED lighting
• Physical page-turn buttons
• MicroSD card slot (up to 1TB)
• Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, speaker, and microphone
• Google Play Store access
Exact specs and pricing haven’t been announced yet, but certification is complete, and the international release is expected in the coming months.
