Onyx Boox has officially launched the Leaf 5 series—comprising the Leaf 5 and Leaf 5C—exclusively in China.
- The Leaf 5 features a 7-inch monochrome Carta 1300 E Ink display with 1680 × 1264 resolution, 300 PPI, and afterimage self-clearing 2.0 for cleaner visuals. It also boasts 13% better front light uniformity and moonlight mode for comfortable reading in any light.
- Internally, it runs on a 2.0GHz Qualcomm octa-core processor, with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage (expandable up to 2TB), Android 13, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and dual microphones.
- The device features a Kindle Oasis-style design with page-turn buttons, weighs just 175g, and is as thin as 4mm at its slimmest point.
The Leaf 5C is expected to be the color version of the Leaf 5, likely using a Kaleido 3 display and including a stylus, following the pattern of previous Boox releases.
