FBReader Premium Now Free for All Onyx Boox eReaders

As of May 2025, FBReader Premium—normally priced at $11.99—is available for free on all Onyx Boox e-readers. Though not widely advertised, FBReader confirms this on its website, stating the app is free on devices without Google Play Services or Huawei AppGallery, including Onyx e-ink readers. Users must sideload the app from FBReader’s website, as it won’t appear as free in the Play Store. Optimized for E Ink displays, FBReader supports various ebook formats (EPUB, AZW3, PDF, etc.), text-to-speech, translations, custom fonts, and sync across platforms. It’s a smooth and feature-rich option for Boox users.
