Onyx’s new Boox Go 7 eReaders are now available on Amazon in two versions: the black and white (BW) model for $249 and the color “Gen II” model for $279. The BW version isn’t sold directly by Onyx but is shipped by Amazon, while the color version is officially listed. Both devices are nearly identical aside from the screen—BW uses a 7” Carta 1300 display (300 ppi), and the color version uses a Kaleido 3 screen (300 ppi BW, 150 ppi color). They feature Android 13, upgraded CPUs, frontlights, microSD support, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, speakers, mics, and support for Onyx’s new InkSense stylus (sold separately). The only notable omission is BSR (faster refresh tech), which could impact screen responsiveness but improves battery life.
