Bigme is preparing to release a new version of its Hibreak device, reimagined as a dedicated e-reader without smartphone capabilities. Unlike previous versions, this model won’t have SIM support and will connect only via Wi-Fi. Designed to rival the Onyx Boox Palma 2, the e-reader will retain a smartphone-like, pocketable form factor.
Key features include:
- 5.84-inch e-paper display with 275 PPI and front lighting (no warmth adjustment)
- MediaTek Helio P35 processor, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage
- MicroSD card slot (up to 1 TB), 5 MP front and 13 MP rear cameras
- Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and rotation sensor
- Android 11 with full Google Play Store access
- 3300 mAh battery
No official name or release date has been announced, but it’s expected to launch within the next few weeks.
