Best large E-Reader for PDFs and note-taking under $300?

I’m looking for a large e-reader specifically for reading PDFs, with the ability to take notes and highlight. Ideally, I’d go for something like the BOOX Air 3, but it’s out of my budget. My max is $250–$300, though spending less would be even better.

I’m open to older models as long as they’re reliable and built to last.

The Kobo Elipsa is a good option for under $300. It’s great for PDFs and note-taking with its large screen and included stylus.

You might also find a Remarkable 1 secondhand, which is excellent for PDF handling and notes. If you're open to older models, the BOOX Note Air 1 might fit your budget and offers good PDF support.
